A family tradition for 4 generations

The Maurino family has been quarrying and processing genuine Swiss stones since 1894, for exactly 4 generations.
The family activity began in 1894 thanks to Giuseppe Maurino Senior who started the extraction of granite in Pollegio and founded the individual company.
In 1946 Giuseppe Maurino Junior took over the family business transforming it into a general partnership under the name of “Fratelli Maurino”.
25 years later, in 1971, the company passed into the hands of his son Marzio Maurino who transformed it into a joint stock company (SA).
In 1996, Cesare Maurino decided to join his father in the company after having obtained the diploma of architect at the Higher Technical School (STS) in Trevano (CH) and the degree at the Academy of Architecture in Düsseldorf (DE).
Today the company is led by Marzio (81) and Cesare Maurino (55).
Will it pass into the hands of another member of the Maurino family? We will find out with time.
