Stairs, steps and ramps

Natural stone stairs can take a variety of shapes, and can be made with:

• solid granite treads
• ramp staircase covered with granite steps and granite risers (also called granite frontals)
• cantilever staircase covered with granite steps finished above and below
  spiral staircase with granite steps and risers

You can also choose to frame the steps with skirting boards of the same stone or a different stone.

In addition to granite stairs, you can also make granite ramps:

• solid granite ramps
• ramps covered with granite slabs

Parapets and balustrades

Natural stone parapets and balustrades are not only intended to protect people from falling, but are also true decorative elements.

The choice of making the parapets and balustrades in granite or marble is often due to the fact that these stones provide a very high resistance, are functional as they do not require much maintenance and elegant.
